Characteristics of polypropylene gas-liquid filter screen: non-toxic, odorless, low density, superior strength, stiffness, hardness, and heat resistance to low-pressure polyethylene, and can be used at around 100 degrees Celsius. It has good electrical performance and high-frequency insulation that is not affected by humidity, but becomes brittle, wear-resistant, and prone to aging at low temperatures. Suitable for making general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts, and insulation parts. Common acid and alkali organic solvents have little effect on it and can be used in tableware.
Characteristics of polypropylene:
Physical properties: Polypropylene is a non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless milky white high crystalline polymer with a density of only 0.90-0.91g/cm3, making it one of the lightest varieties of plastics currently available. It is particularly stable for water, with a water absorption rate of only 0.01% within 24 hours, and a molecular weight of approximately 80000-150000. Good formability, but due to high shrinkage, thick walled products are prone to dents. The surface of the product has good luster and is easy to stain.
Mechanical properties: polypropylene has high crystallinity and regular structure, so it has excellent mechanical properties. Its strength, hardness and elasticity are higher than HDPE. However, at room temperature and low temperature, due to its high molecular structure regularity, its impact strength is poor. When its molecular weight increases, its impact strength also increases, but its molding and processing properties become poor. The most outstanding performance of PP is its resistance to bending fatigue. If PP is used as an injection molded movable hinge, it can withstand 7 × 107 times of folding and bending without any signs of damage, with a dry friction coefficient similar to nylon, but not as good as nylon under oil lubrication.
Thermal performance: Pp has good heat resistance, with a melting point of 164~170 ℃. The product can be disinfected and sterilized at temperatures above 100 ℃, and it does not deform at 150 ℃ without external force. The embrittlement temperature is -35 ℃, and embrittlement occurs below -35 ℃, with lower cold resistance than polyethylene.
Chemical stability.
